Imperial College London is looking to appoint a Senior Research Fellow in Quantitative Finance with substantial industry experience and a strong background in Mathematics. You will research the theory and financial applications of modern quantitative methods such as Large Language Models and shape how these techniques are taught to Imperial's postgraduate and undergraduate students.
What you would be doing

You will carry out cutting-edge research on the theory and applications of modern techniques like Large Language Models or Machine Learning Methods for Time Series Forecasting in Finance. You will develop courses and student projects that teach these concepts to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
What we are looking for

A PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field and demonstrated experience of academic research;
Substantial practical experience of deploying modern quantitative methods in the financial industry;
Demonstrated experience in leading research teams.

Minimum starting salary of 82,969 per annum
Expected start date is January 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
This is a full-time open-ended post underpinned by external funding which is available for a fixed-period of up to 180 months.
