About us

The Division of Infection and Immunity is part of the UCL Faculty of Medical Sciences, which brings together UCL Medical School and five other Divisions spanning clinical and basic biomedicine.


Scientists in the Division conduct immunology, virology and microbiology research. Our aim is to link our fundamental laboratory research with the specialised clinical interests of our hospital partners.


About the role


------------------


The post-holder will be expected to provide advice and support to Divisional Principal Investigators (PIs) regarding the practical and financial process of grant applications.



The successful candidate will support Principal Investigators with the financial management of active grants, ensuring that College Financial Regulations are adhered to and that best practice is followed.



To undertake costings for grant applications using Worktribe, liaising with the UCL Research Services, UCL Research Contracts, the Joint Research Office, Divisional administrative staff, various NHS Trusts, industry sponsors and grant funding bodies as required and to ensure timely approvals are in place to guarantee submission by specified deadline.



This is a fixed term role for 13 months.


About you

The successful applicant should have underwent Higher Education to degree level, or equivalent or substantial relevant experience.



The post-holder should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (ranging from informal 1:1 discussions, formal presentations covering both oral and written skills), including the ability to liaise with staff at a range of levels internal and external to the organisation.
