About the Role:
As a
Senior Residential Care Worker
, you will be a key support to the home's management team. You will provide guidance to Residential Support Workers and help create opportunities for children and young people to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Your role will include supporting the Registered Home Manager & Deputy to promote the health, safety, and well-being of the young people in the home, in line with company policies and individual care plans. You will act as a
positive role model
to the children, helping to provide a
nurturing, homely environment
where they can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Support & Guidance:
Assist in managing the team of Residential Care Workers by offering clear guidance and support.
Promote Well-being:
Actively support the health, safety, and general well-being of the young people, ensuring their care plans are followed.
Positive Role Model:
Lead by example, creating a nurturing and homely atmosphere where young people can feel safe and supported.
Achieve Potential:
Enable the young people to pursue their personal goals and maximize their potential in all areas of life.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the management team to deliver a high standard of care.
Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential for this role.
Experience:
Previous supervisory experience is not necessary but is welcomed and will be reflected in your yearly salary.
A natural ability to work with children and young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
Personal Attributes:
Caring, flexible, and resilient nature.
Strong emotional intelligence, with a passion for helping others.
Flexibility:
Ability to work shifts and participate in sleep-in duties as part of the role.
Driving Licence - Essential for this role.
