29672.00 per annum rising to 33100.00 following successful probationary period. Additional payments of 50,75 are payable for sleep in shifts . On call payment of 63.00per day payable.

Senior Residential Child Care Officer role overview:
As a Senior Residential Childcare Officer your role will include leading a team to ensure that a caring, nurturing and safe standard of care is delivered for our young people at all times, this will be achieved by ensuring that staff are following relevant policies and procedures , individual risk assessments and are making sure that information for our young people is kept up to date. You will also ensure that staff are completing relevant daily tasks and that young people are supported in community activities, to see family and friends and most importantly that our young people are safeguarded.
As a Senior Residential Childcare Officer, you will be responsible for regular formal supervision of staff, auditing of young people's documentation, mentoring new staff and attendance at meetings with other professionals. You will also support the Registered Manager and Deputy manager to ensure that systems in the home are compliant to Ofsted Regulations and Quality Standards.
Every day is different in our home and can include housekeeping tasks to ensure the home is clean and tidy, cooking for our young people or supporting them to cook, supporting young people to access community activities and see their families and friends and helping young people with independence tasks to prepare them for adulthood.
Senior Residential Child Care Officer desired experience/qualifications:
We are looking for experienced people who have a passion for working with young people and Children and who really want to make a difference to their lives.
Candidates will have NVQ / Diploma Level 3 in Children & Young People or Residential Childcare.
At least two years' experience working in residential children's home, ideally with some supervisory and leadership experience of a staff team.
You will have good written, verbal communication and IT skills.
Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
