We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker for one of our children's homes in Chelmsford, Essex.
We have 3 x Children's homes on an 11 acre site supporting young people 8-17 yrs with a learning disability /complex needs.
Candidates need to have experience within children's residential care
15.76 per hour, rising to 16.26ph following successful probation (plus sleep in payments, plus any hours over 37.5 paid as overtime). Realistic annual earnings would be in excess of 35k

Qualifications and experience required:
Candidates are expected to hold the Level 3/4 Diploma (child and young people) OR a commitment to complete it. The candidate should have a minimum of 1 years' experience within residential children's care.
Role Outline:
To be responsible for leading shifts, allocation and supervision of staff and young people, delegating tasks, and managing and supporting the day to day needs of the home
To be confident in mentoring, offering guidance and support to all support staff and able to deliver supervisions to support staff
To ensure that weekly, monthly audits and checks are completed including, Health and Safety audits, medication audits and Fire checks
To support the development of person-centered planning, ensuring each young person has meaningful and achievable goals
To prepare reports and to attend review meetings
To know, use, and promote the home's child protection procedures at all times, developing a good awareness of child protection issues, assessing and recording risk.
