Senior Residential Property Manager - Market Lets Team
Purpose of Role
The Crown Estate is seeking a dedicated and experienced property professional to join our Market Lets Team as a Senior Residential Property Manager. This maternity cover role offers the opportunity to manage a prime central London portfolio, delivering exceptional service to residents and supporting the team lead in driving operational excellence. You will play a key role in shaping customer experience, mentoring team members, and ensuring the smooth running of residential assets.
Context of Opportunity / Main Accountabilities
Manage an allocated portfolio of prime central London residential properties.
Collaborate with internal teams including Block Management, Facilities Management, Asset Management, and Finance.
Deliver high-quality customer service across a range of tenancy types, acting as the primary contact for super prime customers.
Conduct regular property inspections, manage void periods, and oversee maintenance and reletting activities.
Lead small-scale projects to enhance property yield and support larger initiatives.
Mentor property managers and provide guidance on day-to-day operations.
Act as senior escalation point in the absence of the team lead, reporting directly to the Director of Residential.
Manage deposit release processes, tenancy check-outs, and utility account closures.
Monitor income and expenditure, working with credit control to ensure financial performance.
Handle customer complaints and priority tasks, including arranging alternative accommodation when needed.
Be available for out-of-hours support for your portfolio and oversee onsite staff.
Ensure accurate updates to leasing, accounting, and property management systems.
Most Important Skills-Based Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience managing prime central London residential properties.
Strong understanding of tenancy types, property maintenance, and compliance.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
ARLA qualification preferred.
Solid legal knowledge relevant to residential property management.
Experience working for a landed estate is desirable.
Ability to manage high-pressure situations and multiple initiatives.
Analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
Professional engagement with stakeholders across diverse industry backgrounds.
Ability to represent the organisation externally and contribute to strategic improvements.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to mentoring and support.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract role
