Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist children in their daily activities and development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised care, fostering independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children requiring additional support.

Responsibilities



Assist children with daily routines, including personal care, meal times, and activities. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with families and professionals. Support children during educational and recreational activities to promote socialisation and learning. Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies. Communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure consistent support. Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safety at all times. Use IT tools to update records, communicate with team members, and access relevant resources.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a care or educational setting is highly desirable.

Valid driving licence and the ability to drive children safely to various locations.

Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles. Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues. Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
Experience required/preferred -

Residential Childcare? - 2 years (required)

Support Environment - 2 years (required)

Full driving licence - preferred

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare- preferred

Experience in leadership role - preferred

Flexibility to work shifts including days and sleeps

Pay: 13.50 per hour
