We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at our new two-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Burton-on-Trent.
This role offers the chance to step into a senior position within a supportive, therapeutic organisation that is committed to high standards of care. With two Ofsted-rated "Good" homes and a third opening soon, we provide a stable and nurturing environment for both children and staff.
About the Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
Deliver consistent, high-quality care and emotional support
Act as a positive role model for both children and colleagues
Support and mentor junior team members
Contribute to personalised care and support plans
Participate in team meetings, handovers, and multi-agency discussions
Maintain accurate documentation in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards
Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and professionals
Promote a calm, safe, and nurturing home environment
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
At least 1 year's experience in a children's residential setting - preferred
Previous senior or supervisory experience - desirable
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities
A compassionate, resilient, and child-focused approach
Full UK Driving Licence - required
Sound knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
