Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals, assisting them with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in the individual's condition or needs. Assist children in educational activities and recreational pursuits, promoting their development and social skills. Drive individuals to appointments or community activities as required. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of support provided. Lead shifts and mentor junior staff Create a nurturing, homely space with high professional standards

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals and their families. Knowledge of IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial. Ability to develop and follow care plans with attention to detail. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting individuals as needed. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. - Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential) - Experience in a children's home- Knowledge of safeguarding, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed care- Passion, patience, and professionalism
This role will require 2 weekend shifts per month and 1 night shift (waking/sleepin) per week if needed.
