We are seeking a compassionate and motivated
Senior Residential Support Worker
to join our team at our new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Burton-on-Trent.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a supportive, therapeutic, and child-centred organisation. With two Ofsted-rated "Good" homes and a third opening soon, we are committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care that meets the emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs of children and young people.
The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
Deliver consistent, high-quality care and emotional support within a residential setting.
Lead by example, acting as a positive role model for both children and staff.
Mentor and guide junior team members, helping them build confidence and skills.
Support the creation and implementation of personalised care and support plans.
Participate in team meetings, handovers, and multi-agency reviews.
Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
Promote a nurturing, safe, and stable home environment that encourages growth and healing.
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- essential.
Minimum 1 year's experience in a children's residential care setting - preferred.
Previous senior or supervisory experience - desirable.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
Compassionate, resilient, and child-centred approach.
Full UK Driving Licence - required.
Sound understanding of safeguarding and children's home regulations.
