Senior Residential Support Worker / Residential Support Worker- (Children's Residential Care)

Rate of Pay:

12.44- 14.50 per hour + 65.00 per sleep-in shift

Positive Choices Limited are seeking Senior Residential Support Workers and Residential Support Workers to join our team in our beautiful new group living home in the Wirral which will support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

About the Role:

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care and support in a nurturing therapeutic group living environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in shaping a young people's future, promoting positive routines, emotional regulation, and life skills development.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll also take on additional responsibilities including leading shifts, supporting and mentoring staff, liaising with professionals, and assist the management team to ensure that all required paperwork is completed to a high standard.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Previous experience working in a children's residential care or a similar setting A genuine passion for safeguarding, motivating, and inspiring young people Experience with challenging behaviour, with the ability to handle such situations calmly and professionally. Emotionally resilient and compassionate with a proactive attitude Excellent communication and teamworking skills Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car

Senior Residential Support Worker applicants:

Must have a minimum of 12 months experience of working in a children's residential care setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or currently enrolled on the course

Desirable:

Experience working with children and young people with complex needs including emotional, behavioural or trauma-related challenges
