We are looking for passionate, resilient, and experienced individuals to join our team as

Senior Residential Support Workers

. You will lead shifts, support staff, and deliver exceptional care to children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent, nurturing support to children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Lead shifts and support junior staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery. Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, daily reports, and behaviour support plans. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times. Encourage children's independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing. Support children with education, activities, community access, and daily living routines. Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies. Maintain a safe, clean, and homely environment. Work collaboratively with the management team, social workers, and external professionals.

Requirements

Essential:

Minimum

1 year experience

in a support, care, or residential childcare role Experience working with children with learning disabilities and/or autism Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries Ability to lead shifts and support other staff Good communication and teamwork skills Emotional resilience and ability to manage challenging situations Right to work in the UK Must live within a commutable distance Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins (if required) Enhanced DBS check (Children's Workforce) - must not be barred

Desirable:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated setting Full UK driving licence (if required for the home)
