The
Team Leader
will be working closely with the Registered Manager to lead and manage the home in accordance with its ethos, ensuring high quality outcomes as defined in our Statement of Purpose.
You should have recent experience of working in a supervisory role within a regulated children's social care service, preferably within a residential environment. This would include experience of managing risk and meeting the complex needs of children/young people with an emphasis on Safeguarding.

Main duties and responsibilities?
- Supporting the manager with the leadership and management of the home and staff team
- Leading by example to all the other staff - maintaining high standards of professionalism, communication, report writing and dealing with conflict resolution or issues
- Preparing team meeting agenda, chairing and taking minutes
- Staff inductions and training new staff in the home's procedures and routines
- Oversight of the children and young people's placement plans and ensuring that risk assessments are up-to-date and in place to protect children and staff under organisational policies
- To work in line with the companies' policies and procedures
- Adhere to legislation and guidance including the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Completing shifts to support the children with their day-to-day tasks and activities
- On call duties - to be part of a rota system for on call to support the home out of hours

- Someone willing to use their own vehicle for business purposes to support in transporting children and young people to family contact, activities and education where required.
Qualifications needed?
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children or Young people or equivalent
Experience needed?
- A
minimum
of 1 year
in a supervisory role
- At
least 2 years
of recent experience in children's residential care
Skills and requirements needed?
- Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
- A full UK driving license
Essential - plus willing to use own vehicle for business use
