The Job Profile

We're looking for a Senior Rights Executive to join our friendly, successful, and collaborative S&S Rights team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who ideally has at least one year of rights sales experience and ready to take the next step in their career. As part of our fast-paced and dynamic team, you'll work closely with the Head of Children's Rights and have responsibility for managing and developing your own international markets, selling Rights and Co-editions across our vibrant and diverse Children's List.



This is a permanent role offering great scope for professional growth, with the chance to build lasting relationships with international partners and contribute directly to the global success of our titles.



The Job Role

The job role involves management and negotiation of sales in your own territories across pre-school, picture books and fiction titles. Pitching books and concluding sales; customer care; drafting, sending and archiving contracts; organising business trips and book fair appointments; sending out follow-up material; updating our submissions database and liaising with international customers over file supply. Great communication skills are key.



The Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will already have rights sales experience, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a meticulous eye for detail. With a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task, the successful candidate will have a passion for children's books and international publishing. Knowledge of a foreign language would be an advantage. IT skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.
