We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Senior Support Worker
to join our passionate team in a nurturing children's residential home located in Littleover. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in children's residential care to help shape a supportive and positive environment for young people.
About the Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and team to deliver high-quality care and promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with their care plans
Mentor and lead support staff, ensuring high standards of care are consistently met
Assist with the planning and delivery of daily routines, activities, and educational support
Support the emotional well-being and development of each child
Contribute to the creation of a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
Participate in on-call duties and support shifts as required
About You:
We're looking for someone who is resilient, compassionate, and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role
