Activity Split



80% New business enquiries - inbound

10% Account management calling our existing customers to renew contracts

5% Working on current accounts to identify opportunities

5% Meeting customers in the showroom and demonstrating products.

Fast typing speed is essential

Progression & Timeframe



After successfully completing 12-18 months in the role you will be eligible to be promoted into a sales executive role, with appropriate salary and bonus increases in line with your promotion.

Salary:

26-30K (plus comms 9K+ per year uncapped)(36K OTE)

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)

Key Responsibilities



Sales Team Core Duties



To be first point of contact for the business To understand a customers needs To advise a machine which would work for the customer To quote and follow up proposals To try to close deals and generate GP for the company Manage customer expectations regarding delivery and installation of machine Complete Sales Rep checklist to assist with Sales Admin Provide customer service at sales stage Provide coffee knowledge to customer to win their long term coffee business To manage daily tasks attached to Opportunities Update Sales Team machine sales board Be prepared to contact customers by all means; phone, email face to face and text Hold Teams meetings with customers Machine demonstrations Taking payments for deals Help any new starts with pitching and general sales administration Liaise with external finance company Knowledge of finance leasing

Machines Sales Consultant specific



Source leads through other means i.e. LinkedIn

Senior Sales Executive specific



Account manage customers with 3+ machines per site Account manage relationship with coffee roasters Build email campaigns to coffee roaster Build Tender quotations

Client Relationship Management



Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions. Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling espresso machine products.

Product Knowledge and Training



Stay abreast of industry trends and product innovations in the commercial espresso machine market. 1 week knowledge training on traditional coffee machines. 1 week sales training further training when each promotion is achieved half target in the first month

Qualifications



Proven experience in B2B sales Passion for coffee and a deep understanding of commercial espresso machine products. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proactive attitude with a goal-oriented mindset.

Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience at selection



Sales Skills: A successful track record in sales is crucial. Candidates with a proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets demonstrate their ability to drive results- at least 3-5 years' experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for effectively conveying ideas, negotiating deals, and building relationships with clients and team members. Understanding of the competitive landscape and key players in the market. Negotiation skills to close deals and secure contracts. Ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable coffee machine solutions.

Product Knowledge

: Thorough understanding of the coffee machines and related products offered by the company. Ability to explain technical details to customers in a clear and understandable manner.

Customer Focus:

A customer-centric approach to understand and address the unique requirements of clients. Ability to provide excellent customer service and support post-sale. Resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often preferred but not essential. Relevant certifications or training in sales techniques and customer relationship management.

Experience:

Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets. Experience in managing key accounts and developing long-term relationships with clients. Networking: Proven ability to network within the industry to identify new business opportunities. Participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Analytical Skills

: Ability to analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and sales data to formulate effective sales strategies. Utilise data to identify potential growth areas and market segments.

Team Collaboration:

Ability to collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to enhance overall customer experience.

Adaptability:

Flexibility to adapt to changes in the market or company strategy. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Desirable skills and knowledge but not essential



Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the coffee industry, including different types of coffee machines, brewing methods, and emerging trends. Familiarity with the features and specifications of various coffee machine models. Global Business Understanding: For businesses with international operations, knowledge of global business practices, cultural nuances, and international regulations can be advantageous.
