We are a well-established and rapidly growing compliance scheme and waste management specialist focused exclusively on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling in the UK. Working with producers, retailers, distributors, and recycling partners nationwide, we help businesses meet their legal obligations under the WEEE Regulations while maximising recovery rates and commercial value from electrical waste streams.
Due to continued expansion, we are now seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive with a proven background in the UK electrical waste recycling sector to join our commercial team.
The Role
- Identify, develop and close new business opportunities with producers, importers, retailers, online sellers, and other obligated parties under the WEEE Regulations
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects across the full spectrum of electrical and electronic equipment categories (large domestic appliances, IT & telecoms, consumer equipment, display, lamps, etc.)
- Manage key accounts and upsell additional compliance and recycling services
- Work closely with our operations, compliance, and finance teams to structure commercially attractive solutions
- Attend industry events, trade shows (e.g., RWM, Electronics Recycling Summit) and conduct virtual/in-person client meetings as required
- Achieve and exceed realistic but stretching sales targets with uncapped OTE
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years' direct sales or business development experience within the UK WEEE / electrical waste recycling industry (compliance scheme, producer responsibility organisation, AATF/ATF, exporter, or consultancy)
- Existing network of contacts among producers, retailers, distributors, or compliance managers in the electrical/electronics sector
- In-depth understanding of the UK WEEE Regulations, producer compliance schemes, evidence notes, PCS membership obligations, and the wider circular economy landscape
- Proven track record of winning and retaining business in a competitive B2B environment
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating contracts and pricing structures
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working remotely with full accountability for your pipeline and results
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required (typically 1-2 days per month)
