We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator to help drive the digitalisation of Ofgem, so it is a smart regulator fit for future energy.


In this role, you'll be part of the CRM Technical Lead team within the Centre of Excellence (CoE), focusing on implementing the new xRM/CRM project. With Salesforce as the chosen tool, you'll primarily engage with this technology. Collaborating closely with the Head of CRM, CRM Product Owner, Senior Salesforce Testers, Business Analysts, and end users, your key responsibility is to ensure robust design and delivery of critical implementations in coordination with Business Analysts.


Your primary responsibilities will involve the design, development, maintenance and support of the multiple features on our CRM platform. You will have to ensure that your developments / configurations are high quality, follow standards, are supported and are well-tested, always following ways of working, development standards and DevOps strategies.


You will also be responsible for delivering enhancements to our CRM platform and intelligent workflows for multiple projects and initiatives, continually improving over time. You will help epics, user stories, features and tasks be clearly scoped and understood to enable user requirements to be efficiently met by development. Additionally, you will clearly document your work through designs, code commenting, architecture designs and user documentation/training, which will need presentations to explain the new CRM/workflow capabilities and features developed and their benefit to different user audiences across Ofgem. Finally, you will liaise with other team members, CRM Tech Lead and architects to create technical documentation of each new design pattern to connect the CRM platform with other internal and external systems, data flows and platforms.

Job description



Purpose



To configure, customize and enhance our CRM and intelligent workflow platform (Salesforce) to help Ofgem staff more efficiently engage with external contacts, log interactions for analysis and monitoring to improve our overall effectiveness as a regulator via objects and fields management. To support new licencing regimes (e.g. heat networks) be able to rapidly and efficiently issue digital licences to thousands of new energy companies/stakeholders/partners. To enable new government schemes or rebates encouraging transition to a low carbon economy be quicker to deploy and more efficient. Under Agile methodologies, be part of Ofgem Salesforce CoE, working with onshore and offshore resources. Led by the CRM Tech Lead, providing specialist advice and development on chosen technology e.g. Salesforce. Be the focal point and expert in a multi-disciplinary team in a specific work area in the context of operating in a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model.

Key Responsibilities




Delivery of set of team deliverables, and managing and co-ordinating successful outcomes across team members and collaborating teams

Work with project managers, technical leads, business users and subject matter experts to design, develop, maintain and support features on our CRM platform. Ensure development is high quality, follows standards, is supported and well tested. Follow ways of working, development standards and code control releasing code in a controlled manner.

Work closely with our testers to ensure development is high quality and functioning as expected, as well as planning and delivering testing yourself on the work of others and your own. Presentations to explain the new CRM/workflow capabilities and features developed and their benefit to different user audiences across Ofgem. Liaise with other team members, CRM Tech Lead and architects to create technical documentation of each new design pattern to connect the CRM platform with other internal and external systems, data flows and platforms (to support sign off, security review, upgrades and maintenance). ###

Person specification



Essential Criteria



An experienced Salesforce Administrator (Service and Experience Cloud) with a strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, configuration, and customization. (Lead criteria) Experience gathering requirements and providing solutions to meet business needs. (Lead criteria) Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and familiarity with security audit processes. Experience in user management, security settings, and data access controls. Proficiency in creating custom reports and dashboards to support business analytics. Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, Experience Cloud Consultant. Experience with Public Sector Solution Module (Industry Cloud) and Omniscripts.

Desirable Criteria



Proficient with Salesforce Platform and Declarative configurations. Apex and Visualforce development knowledge is a plus. Experience with Lightning Experience and Salesforce app development. Understanding and experience of implementing: + Integrations and APIs.
+ Multi factor authentication integration.
+ Experience with data migration.
+ Working with VS Code and similar development tools.
