Join Our Photography Team at JS Photography!

Are you passionate about photography and confident working with children? JS Photography is a well-established and growing School and Nursery photography business based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We've been capturing quality school images for families to treasure for over 30 years, and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the busy Autumn term.

The Role

As a Senior School Photographer, you'll play a hands-on role both on-site at schools and nurseries, and back at our office. You'll be part of our experienced team and start capturing images right after joining.

This role is about more than just photography -- we're looking for someone who can bring energy, organisation, and a great attitude to a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Shooting in Schools and Nurseries each day Photographing children (individuals and groups) Editing and processing images in Lightroom and Photoshop at our office Working to a tight schedule while maintaining a high level of quality Driving to schools across the country Helping with general photography and production tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in school/nursery photography A confident, lively personality with the ability to quickly connect with children A keen interest or experience in photography (portrait work preferred) Working knowledge of DSLR cameras (essential) Advanced understanding of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Fast and confident with image editing A team player who can remain calm and professional under pressure A full, clean UK driving licence - travel is a daily part of this role Willingness to start early and work flexible hours as needed

DBS Requirements

An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out as part of our safer recruitment policy.

Contract Details

Seasonal contract:

September to November

Training available in August

to help prepare for Autumn

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
