About us

The CRUK Beatson Institute is a cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers. It is one of Europe\'s leading cancer research centres, supporting cutting-edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development. As well as core support from Cancer Research UK, the Institute also receives an additional third of its total income from external grants and industry collaborations. It has an excellent reputation for fundamental cancer research, including world-class metabolism studies and renowned in vivo modelling of tumour growth and metastasis. Position outline

A unique opportunity to become a member in the laboratory of Dr Ed Roberts is available. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to help drive research projects that explore how information from peripheral tissues are delivered to the lymph node and how that informs the character of the T-cell response with an aim to improving anti-tumour T-cell immunity. This work will follow on from our recent publication- .

Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant subject. Research experience using mouse models, flow cytometry and a strong background in immunology are essential. Experience of dendritic cell biology and microscopy would be advantageous but not essential. Applicants must have good organisational skills and enjoy working in a positive and inclusive research environment.
