The Role
We are seeking a highly capable, data-driven Senior SEO & Digital Performance Manager to take full responsibility for our organic search strategy, technical site health, content optimisation and ongoing website performance.
This is not an agency-coordination role -- this is a hands-on position for someone who can audit, fix, optimise, plan and continuously improve SEO in-house, working directly alongside the CEO and Marketing Manager.
You will manage:
our SEO roadmap,
our site audits and technical fixes,
content and schema optimisation,
local SEO for all Brackenwood service areas,
tracking, reporting, and ROI demonstration,
evaluation of agency performance (when used).
?
Key Responsibilities
Technical SEO
Perform full technical audits using Semrush (our primary tool), Google Search Console, GTMetrix, and Pagespeed Insights.
Improve Core Web Vitals on both mobile and desktop (LCP, CLS, TTFB).
Identify and resolve crawl issues, broken links, redirect loops, orphaned pages and indexation inconsistencies.
Optimise site architecture, URL structure, sitemap logic and internal linking.
On-Page & Content SEO
Rewrite or optimise metadata (titles, meta descriptions, headings and schema).
Remove or repurpose duplicate/orphaned pages (including legacy location pages).
Create keyword-led, conversion-driven landing pages for products, services and service areas.
Build and maintain a monthly content schedule (blogs, guides, FAQs, videos).
Schema & Structured Data
Maintain and enhance structured data (FAQPage, Product, Service, LocalBusiness and WebPage schema).
Implement schema consistently across new and legacy pages.
Local SEO
Manage and optimise citations and directory listings (BrightLocal, Semrush Local).
Maintain and improve Google Business Profiles across all service regions.
Backlink & Authority Building
Conduct ongoing backlink audits, identify toxic or low-quality domains, and coordinate disavow processes.
Develop a legitimate authority-building strategy (PR outreach, trusted directories, industry publications).
Analytics & Reporting
Track and report on visibility, impressions, keyword performance, organic traffic and conversions.
Build monthly dashboards for senior leadership.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to support continuous improvement.
