Senior Sister
Job Description
The Band 7 Senior sister within the Emergency Department is managing a busy acute department, this role involves the support and development of junior staff members .Which includes the managing of staff including sickness and appraisals. Managing of staffing rotas Dealing with complaints and assisting the Ward Manager with the recruitment process.Planning and delivery of nursing care that reflects current patient care needs. Evaluation of care in collaboration with patient / carers and multidisciplinary team. Involved in the care of trauma patients and resuscitation of critically unwell patients.
Ensuring accurate documentation of nursing care delivered , Awareness of and co-operating in maintaining Accident and Emergency health care targets in the best interest of the patient. Follow policy and procedure accurately for Safeguarding
