Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Build Site Manager to oversee our construction project. The project consists of the development of 50 apartments. 30 of these will be new build and 20 are apartments that are to be refurbished from an existing Grade 2 listed building.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of site operations. As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that the projects and phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in managing teams, liaising with clients, sub contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and safely. Manage and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address any issues or changes in project scope. Prepare reports on project status, including progress updates and any challenges faced. Implement effective time management strategies to optimise workflow and productivity. Ensure all necessary documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

Proven experience as a New Build Site Manager, Apartment Builds, Refurb, Renovation of Grade 2/Listed buildings or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and health and safety regulations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration. Ability to problem-solve under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
