About the Role

Our Senior Social Worker - Workforce and Practice Development role will support the delivery of our programmes for newly qualified social workers (the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment - ASYE), social work apprentices, student social workers and practice education. The post holder will drive service improvement and work to strengthen practitioner confidence and experience.



You will be part of the Practice Innovation and Workforce Capability Team, a dynamic, and forward-looking group led by the Principal Social Worker. This team is dedicated to continuous evolution and innovation, focussing on developing our Continuous Professional Development offer. We believe that accessible learning opportunities are crucial for our performance and staff well-being.

Who We are looking for:

You'll be an experienced and confident social worker who is:


An experienced Practice Educator and practice assessor with proven ability to confidently provide direct support and supervision to students and individuals completing their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). Knowledgeable about current and emerging adult social care legislation a strong communicator who supports colleagues and promotes best practice analytical and have a good understanding of the national context and needs of newly qualified social workers

Whether you're seeking greater responsibility or looking to deepen your impact without moving fully into management, this role provides the unique opportunity to grow while staying rooted in practice.
