What you will do:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks of children, crafting care plans to secure their safety and wellbeing.
• Take the helm in safeguarding cases, adhering to statutory guidelines to protect children from harm.
• Implement interventions that uplift families and improve outcomes for at-risk children.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams, coordinating services with health professionals, educators, and law enforcement.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all casework, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

• Prepare reports and represent the local authority in court proceedings to advocate for the best interests of the child.

Qualifications:

• A recognised degree in Social Work with registration from Social Work England.
• Substantial experience in children's social care, particularly within child protection.
• A solid understanding of legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
