We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality support and guidance to individuals and families facing complex social challenges. You will also play a crucial role in supervising and mentoring junior staff, ensuring the delivery of effective social work services within our organisation.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for clients. Offer counselling and support to individuals and families, addressing their emotional and practical needs. Supervise and mentor junior social workers, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and resources for clients. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and progress in accordance with organisational policies. Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary services within the community. Stay informed about relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising social work staff, demonstrating strong leadership abilities. Excellent mentoring skills to guide less experienced colleagues in their professional journeys. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders. Ability to manage a caseload effectively while prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and ethical standards in social work practice.
