We are seeking an experienced Duty and Assessment Social Worker to join the London Borough of Bexley. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive team, delivering high-quality assessments and safeguarding support for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct timely and thorough assessments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
Manage a caseload of children and families requiring short-term intervention.
Undertake Section 47 investigations and make informed decisions on child protection matters.
Work closely with multi-agency professionals to provide comprehensive support.
Provide clear and detailed reports for decision-making and court proceedings.
Attend strategy meetings, case conferences, and court hearings when necessary.
Requirements:
Social Work England registration.
Significant experience in Duty and Assessment social work.
Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
