Senior Social Worker with a Social Work qualification or equivalent and excellent staff leadership / supervisory skills is required for an award winning Adult Social Care team at a well-established organisation based in Wokingham, Berkshire.SALARY: xc2xa348,710 - xc2xa349,764 per annum + Generous Benefits (see below)LOCATION: Hybrid split between working from home and the office in Wokingham with some visits/meetings across the area if neededJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: 37 hours per weekPlease note: A full, valid Driving Licence and access to daily use of own car is essentialJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Social Worker with a Social Work qualification or equivalent and excellent staff leadership / supervisory skills.Working as the Senior Social Worker you will join the Preparing for Adulthood team, working with young people aged 14 to 25 to help them transition into Adult Social Care.As the Senior Social Worker you will play key role in ensuring that the quality and performance are met by providing guidance, support, supervision, and/or line management to registered and non-registered social care professionals.With a focus on the health, safety, and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals and those who care for them, you will work in accordance with the Care Act 2014 to assess, review, or reassess the complex needs of customers and their carers. You will also provide advice and guidance as well as access to support services in line with their eligible needs.You'll be joining a varied and supportive team who are passionate about young people and achieving the best outcomes to give them the best start into adulthood.DUTIESYour duties as the Senior Social Worker will include:

• Work within the relevant legal frameworks, guidance, policies, and procedures to undertake assessments, reviews and support planning with individuals and their carers promoting well-being, independence for preparing for adulthood and safety

• Enable people to identify their own needs and the outcomes they wish to achieve and to implement and review support plans to meet these needs and to liaise with other professional/agencies as required

• Provide guidance, support, supervision, and/or line management of registered and non-registered Social Care professionals, ensuring that quality and performance are met

• Direct, support and undertake risk assessments and formulate risk management plans, having regard for the safety of customers and others, whilst promoting independence and supporting positive risk enablement where appropriate

• Effectively manage your own priorities, workload and conflicting pressures and that of the team, escalating where appropriate

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Professional degree-level Social Work qualification or equivalent

• Current registration to professional governing body (Social Work England)

• Good working knowledge of the statutory framework for the relevant care group and of an appropriate range of professional interventions

• Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate, supervise and performance manage staff

• Full EU driving licence (and access to daily use of a car)
