Chat & Automations team

is a pioneering new group on a mission to redefine how our customers engage with wellness through intelligent, personalised AI experiences. We're looking for a

Senior Software Engineer

to join our mission-focused engineering squad and help us bring this ambitious vision to life.


What You'll Be Doing




Collaborate within an agile, cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and engineering leaders. Partner closely with teams across Design, Data, and Customer Service to deliver seamless AI-driven customer experiences. Shape and deliver a roadmap that drives the digital transformation of a beloved 150-year-old brand. Define and track success metrics that showcase your team's impact. Thrive in a high-ownership, high-autonomy environment where innovation is encouraged and celebrated. Work primarily remotely, with occasional in-person team days and visits to our London (Oxford Street), Nuneaton, or Amsterdam offices to connect, collaborate, and celebrate milestones.

Key requirements:



What You'll Bring




Proven software development experience with

TypeScript, Go, Python

, or similar languages. Hands-on experience with

OpenAI

or other

large language models (LLMs)

. Strong understanding of

RDBMS

and

NoSQL

databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB). Solid experience with

AWS services

- particularly Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Chime, and Connect. Familiarity with

vector databases, RAG, and agentic AI

approaches. Experience in

real-time and event-driven architectures

(e.g. WebSockets, Kafka). Working knowledge of

Docker

and

Kubernetes

for scalable deployments. Proficiency with modern

testing tools and methodologies

(e.g. TDD). A strong

STEM degree

or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates exceptional technical capability.
