Job Description

At Flooid we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a Front End focus to join our team. The Senior Front End Engineer at Flooid is a key and integral part of the Front End team. In this role you will be at the forefront of our product development, delivering the next generation of retail systems software to our customers


As our Senior Front End Software Engineer, you are responsible for building our customer facing applications. You should be able to translate our company and user needs into functional and appealing interactive applications that meet high development standards.


Our global Software Engineering team work on Product or Project based development, for either a domain area of our product or on client specific solutions. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of existing and new retail solutions to address mobility, high volume systems and big data challenges.


You will work with some of the largest retailers in the world.

The Responsibilities




You will use your technical expertise to support product development, you will play an influential part in the Front End strategy and you will support other members of the Front End guild in their careers.

Use JavaScript, Angular and related tools for application development. Work within Agile methods/frameworks such as Scrum & Kanban. Take an active role in daily stand up, planning, and retrospective meetings. Collaborate to embed quality throughout the SDLC. Support development of new solutions, third-party integrations, and legacy system enhancements, following industry best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues using problem-solving skills. Research and assess technical solutions to business challenges. Use KPIs and metrics to validate software quality. Support estimation and conduct code reviews. Supporting team upskilling and mentoring others.

Requirements:



You have a passion for writing great software with a high quality bar You have a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and modern tooling You are familiar with Angular, NX, NPM You understand Micro Front End (MFE) architecture You have experience performance tuning Front End applications and solving complicated Front End issues. You have extensive experience with front end design and client-side applications You have expertise in the full software development lifecycle, Agile, and SDLC practices. You possess a track record of launching great products
Exposure to retail or hospitality environments and development is beneficial but not essential.

Experience in Cloud architectures and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), GCP preferred. Experience supporting commercial applications/systems desirable. Understanding Chromium and Webkit desirable.
Having great skills and experience is important to us but we also want the right person to be part of the Flooid Engineering team.


You should be a hands-on person with a positive "can-do" attitude who wants to work collaboratively to deliver an excellent service to our customers.

Salary:

65,000 - 85,000 depending on skills and experiences
