As a Senior Backend Engineer with Beyond, you will have the opportunity to build the next evolution of our SaaS-based product as well as work on new products. Because you will be working with a successful team that is completely remote, excellent coding and communication skills are key. As our

Senior Software Engineer, Backend

you will be responsible for:


Collaborating with your peers from Product, Design, and Engineering on a cross-functional, outcome-based team to craft and deliver on OKRs. Driving product impact by deeply understanding user needs, participating in product discovery, and ensuring what we build solves meaningful problems. Helping lead your team through large projects with autonomy, continuously assessing and communicating progress, adapting to feedback, and iterating on solutions. Contributing to architectural decisions while evaluating trade-offs across time to market, quality, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Supporting and improving existing products and codebases with a sense of ownership and care. Exercising and improving Beyond's engineering practices such as refactoring, pairing, code reviews, collective code ownership, containers, IaC, CI/CD, observability.

Now that we've told you what the job looks like, here are the qualifications we're looking for in a candidate:


5+ years of experience building services in a multi-tenant SaaS environment Expertise in Python, Django, SQL, Postgres Experience working on LLMs A predisposition for a fast-paced environment where we put an emphasis on delivering value for our customers, while learning, growing, and experimenting Product and business mindedness with demonstrated ability to connect technical work to measurable business outcome
