We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow during service Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards Manage food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of meals Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control, ordering supplies as necessary Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery Assist in menu planning and development in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities Solid understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards Experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
