We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including training new team members and providing ongoing support.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimise waste.
Support the organisation of kitchen operations during service times, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly.
Contribute to creating a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
Skills
Ability to work on your own or part of a team with management skills and ability to motivate staff effectively.
Restaurant chef experience with a solid understanding of hospitality standards.
Proficiency in cooking.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
