We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior sous chef (Indian cuisine) to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and minimise waste.
Support the team during busy service periods by providing hands-on cooking assistance and leadership.
Ensure all food served meets the organisation's quality standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively within a fast-paced setting.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
