Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to specifications and presented attractively
Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Support in training new team members and maintaining high levels of team management
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Ensure all dishes are cooked to the highest standard, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines
Serve as a senior team member during service, providing guidance and support to junior staff
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive food production and culinary experience, with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on high-quality service delivery
Proficiency in cooking across various cuisines and styles
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and management
