We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef or strong CDP looking to take the next step up to join our dynamic culinary team at KITTEN. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a vital part of our kitchen management, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and inspiring the culinary team to achieve excellence. Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and production Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow Oversee food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirements Lead by example in cooking and food presentation to uphold high-quality standards Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation Support staff training and development to maintain a skilled and motivated team Ensure all dishes are prepared in line with menu specifications and customer expectations Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times Contribute to menu planning and development with innovative ideas

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment Extensive culinary experience with strong food production skills Excellent team management and leadership abilities Proficient in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure Good communication skills to liaise with team members and management effectively Passionate about delivering exceptional service and culinary excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 14.00 per hour
