Job Description

As a Senior Sous Chef at Sodexo Strathallan School in Perth, you\'ll play a vital role in managing the core pupil catering, hospitality events, and external lets business within the school, operating throughout the year. You\'ll have the chance to showcase your craft skills and lead the preparation and presentation of meals to the highest standards. Your innovative ideas and strong leadership qualities will be valued as you collaborate with the team and bring new initiatives to support our catering services.

Please note that this is not a term time only role - this is a 52 week contract

What you\'ll do:

• Ensure excellent levels of service are delivered to customers during preparation and service periods.
• Organise and lead the preparation and presentation of all meals at the required times and to the highest standard.
• Plan menus for core business, external lets, and hospitality events.
• Oversee the safe and hygienic operation of the kitchen and ancillary areas, adhering to company and statutory regulations.
• Recruit, support, control, and discipline staff according to the needs of the unit.
• Manage food costs within budgetary guidelines.
• Prepare and execute special functions, sometimes outside of normal working hours.

What you bring:

• Proven experience as an experienced chef in a busy, client-facing environment.
• Direct management experience of chef/kitchen brigade.
• Strong budget management skills.
• Computer literate and able to adapt to relevant systems.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• 706/2 or NVQ chef qualifications, or equivalent.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and coach the team effectively.
• Experience in change management.
• Hold RIPHH & IOSH Certificates or be willing to complete
