Duties
Assist the Chef in managing the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes and portion sizes
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Assist in menu planning, development, and implementation of new dishes
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in fresh food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable team management abilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices in hospitality environments
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
