Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Sous Chef/Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications, maintaining consistency and quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and manage storage to minimise waste. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area according to health and safety guidelines.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment. Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques. Excellent team management and leadership abilities. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff. Passion for culinary excellence with a keen eye for presentation and quality control.
