Key Responsibilities / Core AccountabilitiesPartner with Project Management, Quality and Supply Chain to identify and qualify new supplier or vendor and raw material requirements and specifications
Partner with the "Senior Specialist Material Master Data" to maintain product master data management: Products, Warehouse Bins and inventory basic data
Material Planning for GMP consumables (ROP) and GMP Solvents, Raw Materials and Process Materials
Utilize any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required
Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels
Scheduling of inbound shipments - organizing based on availability of team and warehouse space
Assist on the Inventory yearly financial stock count
Assist with cycle counting for all Stock
Create, chase and manage all purchase requisitions
Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
Minimize inventory while ensuring material availability
Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels
Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organization
Partner with Procurement on Return Materials Authorization (RMA) instances
Maintain KPIs and use data to optimize processes
Development and improvement of training for logistics procedures based on standardized global processes
Being part of the Global Supply Chain organization represent Logistics in all forums representing MRP in UK Abingdon
Additional ResponsibilitiesChampion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance MRP functionality and integration across departments
Conduct root cause analysis on MRP discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with stakeholders to propose and test enhancements to MRP tools and workflows
Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all planning activities, data entry, and reporting to maintain system integrity
Act as a subject matter expert for MRP, mentoring junior planners and supporting cross-functional training
Drive standardization and automation of planning processes to reduce manual errors and improve efficiency
Lead internal audits of MRP data and planning processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
Essential Knowledge, Skills & CapabilitiesPrevious Planning/MRP experience
Must have experience with Warehouse ERP Systems preferably SAP
Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Leadership capabilities to delegate work to warehouse (as required)
Previous warehouse operations experience, ideally in laboratories/pharma
Knowledge of Microsoft applications specifically Excel / willingness to improve knowledge and apply to daily workload
Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable
Proactive approach to work with the ability to problem solve issues
Positive attitude towards continuous improvement projects
Additional SkillsExceptional attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and process integrity
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate into actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies in MRP processes and propose scalable solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
Ability to influence and collaborate across departments to drive MRP improvements
