We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Speech and Language Thera pist to join o u r A dult A utism D iagnostic team as a band 4 in Berkshire Healthcare NHS trust . The successful candidate will be based at Erleigh Rd in Reading and will be working with adult client s. T his is an opportunity to develop specialist clinical knowledge and skills for working with neurodiversity , specifically autism.



We welcome applications f rom people who have excellent communication skills and understanding of autism. The team is a mu l ti-professional and previous working experience from an NHS setting would be an advantage. They will work closely with all members of the team and be supported by a senior speech and language therapist. The post holder will be responsible for :



Carrying out administrative duties as appropriate , which includes data collection , arranging appointments, report writing and assisting in service development with support from a Speech a nd Language therapist .



Supporting the team with assessment by carrying out specific tasks and developing neurodiversity passports.



Working with the team to deliver training to groups .



This is a part time post for 15 hours per week . There may be some opportunities for home working.



The role requires excellent interpersonal skills . Main duties include supporting clinicians to collect information about their clients to support assessments, administrative duties ( keep ing clinical records and writing reports) and developing neurodiversity passports. The post holder will be required to have excellent IT skills .
