A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Private Healthcare service to appoint to a Senior Staff Nurse position. The post holder will need to provide holistic and quality patient care to patients with a variety of neurology and neurosurgical conditions within the Private Consulting Rooms at Queen Square.



Following approval of a private patient strategy by the Trust Board in December 2018, UCLH has ambitious plans to develop its private patient services and improve processes to support patient care and significantly increase income. This post is an exciting opportunity to join the Private Healthcare team, working alongside clinicians and patients to provide high quality care.



Reporting clinically to the Ward Sister for Private Healthcare and operationally to the General Manager for Private Healthcare, the post holder will be responsible for providing outpatient nursing care to patients within the Private Consulting Rooms at Queen Square. The role will also lead the pre-operative assessment for all private patients undergoing procedures at NHNN, ensuring they work closely with consultant surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure patients are appropriately assessed and prepared ahead of surgical procedures. Other duties will involve assisting in clinics, providing wound care management/ advice and phlebotomy services to ensure a comprehensive and premium service is offered to all patients. This role also has line managing responsibilities. This role provides clinical cover on a shift basis from 8am to 8pm.
