Applications are invited for the post of Senior Student Administration Officer in the Doctoral School.


Academic Administration at Royal Holloway is organised into six School Administration teams and a Doctoral School, which are all part of the Student Administration Directorate; a single professional service which supports the student journey. Administration teams have been designed to provide a consistent and effective service to both students and staff.


Due to maternity leave the role of part-time Senior Student Administration Officer has now become available. This is a fixed-term role administering a Research Council grant funding PhD Students in the Information Security Group, Centre for Doctoral Training. This is a key appointment at an exciting stage of the grant.


The Information Security Group (ISG) is a world-leading interdisciplinary research group dedicated to research and education in information (cyber) security. The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) is a training centre, developing PhD researchers within areas related to the interest of the ISG. The ISG CDT Senior Administration Officer is responsible for the core administrative processes associated with the CDT and acts as the central point of contact for the CDT students.


The role requires superb organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively. We are looking for someone who has an aptitude for problem-solving, plus excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently under their own initiative, as well as part of a small team of colleagues.


You will have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, with experience in co-ordinating budgets.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.


This is a fixed term post to cover a period of maternity leave until 30 September 2026. This appointment could end earlier than expected should the substantive post-holder return to work early.
