Senior Student Information Officer Job description

As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking for high-calibre individual to join our Student Information team as a Senior Student Information Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information to students and staff members. Acting as first point of contact, providing general information on a range of non-academic queries and supporting students to ensure they have a positive experience whilst at the University of Law.

As our Senior Student Information Officer, you will:

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of induction and enrolment activities.
  • Plan and coordinate an engaging programme of events and work in collaboration with the Students\xe2\x80\x99 Union to support student led clubs and societies
  • Deal with complex queries from students and staff
  • Provide information and support on a range of enquiries including those relating to new students transitioning to the campus and/or a new course, assessments, timetabling
  • Deputise for the Campus Student Information Hub Manager
  • Understand other services available to students and how they are accessed in order to effectively signpost and enable the best possible experience for each individual student.
  • Assist students in accessing specialist advice and support from other ULaw services including Wellbeing, Disability and Inclusion, Employability and Study Skills.
We are looking for people who are/have:
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the confidence to work with students and staff members on a one-to-one and face to face basis
  • The ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult situations and conflicting priorities
  • Comfortable handling queries through different channels, such as email, phone and face to face
  • A polite, positive and helpful attitude

Based at our Moorgate campus , working 35 hours per week 08.30 -16.30 or 10:00 \xe2\x80\x93 18:00 Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturdays will be required.
