Senior Supervisor

We're looking for a Reactive Works Senior Supervisor to join our Highways team based in Bridgwater. In this role you'll play a vital role in overseeing daily reactive works operations in the Sedgemoor area. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to public safety while developing your career with a supportive employer that values your wellbeing and work-life balance.

Location:

Dunball Depot, Bridgwater - site based 5 days per week

Hours:

40 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Supervisor, you'll be working within the Reactive Works team, supporting them in delivering timely and effective highway maintenance solutions. You'll ensure safety defects are promptly addressed while nurturing a collaborative team environment.



Your day to day will include:


Coordinating daily works and resources to meet safety standards and contractual requirements Managing depot operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely Supporting your team through effective communication, guidance, and wellbeing initiatives Liaising with clients, stakeholders and emergency services to minimise network disruption Leading by example to promote a strong safety culture and inclusive workplace

Have experience of working within the highways industry Enjoy nurturing and supporting team members to achieve their best Have strong communication skills across all levels Are comfortable using Microsoft programmes Hold an SSSTS qualification or higher
