About the role
Senior Supervisor - Repairs, Voids & Estates Maintenance
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for delivering high-quality housing services? Cheltenham Borough Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Supervisor to lead our Repairs, Voids, and Estates Maintenance teams. What You'll Be Doing:
Leading and managing trade teams to deliver efficient, cost-effective repairs and void services
Supporting recruitment, training, and development of staff to meet service priorities
Overseeing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with council policies and legislation
Driving service improvements through performance monitoring, inspections, and risk assessments
Deputising for the Operations Manager and stepping in during high-demand periods
What You'll Bring:
5+ years' experience in social housing repairs/voids, with at least 2 years in a management role
Strong background in contractor and team management
Excellent knowledge of housing repairs IT systems (e.g., DRS, Aareon, T100)
Financial and performance management skills with a focus on KPIs and value for money
IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Desirable Extras:
Understanding of public sector challenges
Experience with QL housing management software
Familiarity with mobile working and job scheduling
