We are seeking a
Senior Support Worker / Team Leader
to oversee the day-to-day operations of designated services, ensuring the highest standard of care and support for residents.
Key Responsibilities: Service Management & Leadership
Oversee the
day-to-day running
of designated care services.
Ensure
staff rotas
are in place to meet contracted hours and effectively support residents.
Maintain
accurate records
of care provision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Implement and monitor service systems in line with regulatory and company standards.
Manage all
service finances
in accordance with financial policies.
Supporting & Developing Staff
Provide
direct supervision and mentoring
to support staff.
Lead staff in developing
person-centred support plans
that reflect the interests and wishes of individuals.
Identify training needs and support staff development in collaboration with the
Team Manager
.
Monitor staff performance, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
Service Provision & Development
Work
hands-on
as part of the shift team, providing direct care and support.
Promote
community inclusion
, encouraging individuals to explore employment, leisure, and social opportunities.
Facilitate and support
Person-Centred Planning
.
Effective Communication & Collaboration
Develop and maintain effective communication systems within the service.
Organise and lead
regular team meetings
.
Keep families, external professionals, and stakeholders informed about
changes and progress
through planned reviews and reports.
Foster strong,
collaborative relationships
with residents' families and other key individuals.
Requirements:
Experience in management or shift leading
within a care setting is essential.
QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
is desirable (support will be provided for the right candidate to achieve this qualification if necessary).
Strong
leadership skills
with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
A
person-centred approach
with a passion for empowering individuals with learning disabilities.
Excellent
communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
