Location:

Hours:

37 hours per week

13.50 per hour

Aspens Charities supports people with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities across Kent and the Southeast. At our Wentworth residential service in Bexhill-on-Sea, we provide a warm and supportive home for up to four individuals with complex needs.

We're looking for an energetic, compassionate

Senior Support Worker

who is ready to take the next step in their career. You'll lead by example, supporting our dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

What you'll be doing:



Lead shifts and deputise for the Service Manager

Support with personal and nutritional care, medication administration, and daily living tasks

Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and service user reviews

Supervise and appraise staff, supporting inductions and training

Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the service, including rota management

Liaise with families, professionals, and stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Maintain accurate records, complete incident and safeguarding reports, and ensure compliance with policies and audits

What we're looking for:



NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and associated medical needs

Experience leading shifts and supervising staff

Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

A caring, patient, and proactive attitude

Desirable:



Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Training or experience with Epilepsy, behaviours that challenge, or alternate communication methods (Makaton, pictorial, objects of reference)
