We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Highlands (Fareham) LTD. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to provide a nurturing environment for children in our care, located in Fareham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to children and young people, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Engage children in activities that promote their social, emotional, and educational development.
Collaborate with the residential care team to ensure high standards of care.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and well-being.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
Uphold the values and objectives outlined in the home's statement of purpose.
? To be responsible for leading and delegating the staff team, ensuring shifts are adequately planned and managed
To support and supervise junior members of staff
Undertake agreed delegated management responsibilities on an ongoing basis
On-call responsibilities as required
Attending Professionals Meetings as required
Undertake keyworker responsibilities
Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in Children Residential Care
Strong understanding of childcare principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to develop and implement care plans effectively.
Valid driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic IT skills are an advantage.
