We are now looking to recruit an experienced
Senior Support Worker
to join our dedicated team and help shape the futures of the children in our care.
The Role
As a
Senior Support Worker
, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting children aged 8-17 with complex needs. You will act as a role model and mentor to junior staff while ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to children in a nurturing and therapeutic environment.
Support the Registered Manager and Team Leader in the operational running of the home.
Lead shifts, supervise junior staff, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Implement individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
Support children with education, daily routines, and emotional wellbeing.
Promote positive relationships with children, their families, and external professionals.
Participate in training, team meetings, and continuous professional development.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in young lives and is confident in leading by example.
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Minimum 1 years' experience working with children in a residential setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory frameworks.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Experience in a Senior/Shift Leader role.
Therapeutic or trauma-informed care training.
